- Go to the App Store or Google Play Store: Depending on your mobile device’s operating system, open either the App Store (on iOS devices like iPhones and iPads) or the Google Play Store (on Android devices).
- Search for “Mobile Passport Control”: Use the search function within the app store and type in “Mobile Passport Control.” Press the search button.
Locate the Official App: Look for the official Mobile Passport Control app developed by “Airside Mobile Inc.” It should have a trusted developer and a high rating.
- Download and Install: Tap on the app to open its description page. Then, click the “Install” (for Android) or “Get” (for iOS) button to start the download and installation process.
- Permissions: The app may request certain permissions, such as access to your camera and location. Make sure to grant these permissions as they are necessary for the app to function properly.
- Create a Profile: Once the app is installed, open it and create a profile. You’ll need to enter your passport information and personal details.
- Complete Declarations: Before your flight or while in the air, use the app to complete your customs declaration and answer any required questions about your trip.
- Generate QR Code: The app will generate a unique QR code for your declaration.
- Arrival: When you arrive at a U.S. airport or port of entry, proceed to the designated Mobile Passport Control lanes. Present your mobile device with the QR code and your physical passport to a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer for inspection.
- Processing: The CBP officer will review your information, ask any necessary questions, and if everything is in order, allow you to enter the United States.
